In recent years, the law service market in West China developed quickly and it gradually reviewed its position and potential in national law market. This development trend drew increasing attention from lawyer profession at home and abroad. In order to get to know the western lawyer profession and enterprises’ legal demands in a more profound way, Yuyu Zhang, Director of Asian Legal Business (ALB) China Region and journalist Zhenyi, Liu led a group of people to visit the most representative and influential western law firms and private enterprises from March 3, 2014 to March 7, 2014.

Tahota was the largest law firm in Central and West China. Tahota Law Firm was selected as the first stop of western market survey of ALB, which indicated great importance attached to Tahota. During this period, the group of people led by Director Zhang surveyed Tahota Chengdu Office and Chongqing Office. Shoutai Cheng (director of Tahota Law Firm), Hong Ni (partner of Tahota Law Firm), lawyers Qingyu Li, Zhiqiang Liu and Fei Xiang, administration manager Xiaoling Huang, and some other administration personnel conducted in-depth communication and discussion with guests coming from afar concerning topics such as western law market, future development direction of Tahota Law Firm, and knowledge management of law firm. Director Zhang indicated that the two parties would have a bigger cooperation space in the future and ALB would further enhance the attention to China Region especial western region in the coming year.

With the company of lawyers from our firm, the group of people led by Director Zhang visited BRC Group and Hongda Group and got to know legal construction conditions, enterprise development planning and new demands for law of these famous private enterprises.

During this period, they also visited some excellent sibling law firms in Sichuan Province and Chongqing.
